Discovery Projects
People are usually more convinced by reasons they discovered themselves than by those found by others.
– Blaise Pascal
Discovery is part of God's design for us. He wants us to discover His goodness, His grace, and His creation, just to name a few. He also has prepared for us good works, for us to walk in (Eph. 2:10).
Each of us who are in Christ have a discovery process of the purpose He has for our lives.
Experience the culture of Argentina and see what God is doing in people's lives!!
We are a relational ministry and after this project you leave with many lasting friendships, as well as a better knowledge of ministry, language and culture.
The trip will be between late May to late July.
What will you be doing?
Relational Ministry
You will be involved in building relationships with Argentine university students, evangelistic outreach and participating in our different activities. Some of those include "English Talk"(Friday night outreach about every two weeks), Bible studies and Christmas in July. What you will be doing also depends on how God has made/is making you. We want to find out what your gifts are and see God use them in our mission context.
During the Discovery Project, we also have a week-long evangelistic campaign planned in a poor neighborhood on the edge of the city of Cordoba. A few years ago, we helped establish the group there so we will go back to see what God is doing and continue the outreach.
Spanish Classes
We will assess your level of the Spanish language and put you into a small classroom environment to help you begin to communicate within the culture. As part of your learning, you will tour some of the Jesuit ruins around our city.
Discipleship
Our team will also be taking you through biblical concepts to help us all grow towards completeness in Christ and we will train you for relational ministry.
Day Trips
There will be some free time, where you will be able to travel outside of the city and go to unique places in the Sierras of Cordoba. Some of the trips include hiking or horseback riding and visiting some of the German colonies.
